Mrs. Hoban began teaching in 2007 and has taught Second Grade and Third Grade. As well as being a fantastic teacher, Mrs. Hoban is the SJNRCS Chess Club moderator and serves as a teacher advisor on our Home and School Association. She shares her special devotion to Mary with her students as they pray a decade of the rosary to begin each school day. Preparing her students for their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is a privilege and joy that she is honored to have.
In 2012, she began a partnership with Trout Unlimited, an organization committed to keeping our country’s rivers and watersheds safe from environmental threats for this and future generations. She and her students participate in the Trout in the Classroom project where students are able to raise trout from eggs to fingerlings and then release them into the Chattahoochee River during a spring field trip. In 2017 she was honored by Trout Unlimited for her work.
Mrs. Hoban is a graduate of Christ the King Catholic School and St. Pius X Catholic High School. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University and a M.A.T. from Brenau University. Her employment with St. John Neumann RCS began in 1999. Mrs. Hoban was an Instructional Aide for 5 years, and the Rainbows Facilitator for 3 years.
Mrs. Hoban and her husband Mark have three children, all graduates of St. John Neumann RCS and St. Pius X High School. Her family is very proud that she was voted the 2016 Archbishop’s Honoree of the Year for SJNRCS
