Mrs. Amie Collins is joining the St. John Neumann faculty as a 6th grade language and literature teacher. She has previously taught 4th, 5th, & 6th grade, so the content area and student ability levels will be familiar to her.
Amie feels the most important thing any teacher can do is to make each student who walks through her door feel accepted, wanted, and loved. Mrs. Collins strives to create a safe and welcoming environment for every child.
Amie received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida in 2005. Go Gators! After seven years of teaching in public schools, she took a job at the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta. While there, she pursued a post-graduate degree in the field of applied behavior analysis and is now a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in addition to being a certified teacher K-8.
Amie has been happily married to her amazing husband, Justin Collins, for 10 years. Their greatest joy is their young son, Garrison, who will be attending the PreK program at St. John Neumann.
