Color Run FAQ's

It is not recommended to have strollers during the fun run.

No skates, wheeled shoes, skateboards, scooters or bicycles are allowed on the track.

Our Color Run uses a powdered dye made of cornstarch with food coloring. Your run kit will include sunglasses to protect your eyes.

As you run around the track volunteers with spray you with powdered dye. At the end everyone will take their dye packet and throw it up in the air for the finale!

We recommend that the kids with asthma / breathing issues not be in the middle of the final color powder celebration.

The color washes out of most materials but just in case, we want you to wear items you aren’t worried about staining so you can enjoy the event to it’s fullest! Depending on how colorful you get, the color may stain your skin, hair, and clothes until finally coming out after a few good washes. To help prevent stains we recommend removing as much excess color as possible prior to washing. If you have lighter colored hair you may want to cover up with a hat or put conditioner in your hair!

While our volunteers will be instructed and take every precaution to spray the powder from the neck down, it is powder and my fly in the air. Your race packet includes a pair of sunglasses you may wear during the walk/run and during the finale powder throw for you to wear. We will have a nurse at the field with a water eye wash on hand just in case.
