Catholic Identity Survey

We are in a year of accreditation.  This is an important year for our school and its future,.  We need for every one of you to read the attached letter and complete the survey.  We are evaluated not only by your responses but also by the number of parents that complete the survey.  Dr. Broom would like for the Superintendent to see your support by the number of surveys completed.

The Archdiocese of Atlanta is committed to fostering Faith, Family, and Excellence in our schools. An important component of our efforts to maintain excellent programs in our schools is our status as a system of schools accredited through AdvancED. Accreditation is very important to our schools as both a validation of the quality of the programs found in our schools as well as a manner in which to establish goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Our accreditation status through AdvancED is up for renewal, with the Office of Catholic Schools hosting an External Review Team in February 2018. During that time, the team will visit eight of our schools, speak with our students and parents, interview staff and key stakeholders and also evaluate our policies and procedures.

We request that all stakeholders respond to questions pertaining to how well our schools teach and model our faith.  I am including in this letter a link to a survey for parents/guardians – Catholic Identity: Defining Characteristics Survey – and ask your participation in providing feedback on your perceptions of the Catholic identity found in our schools. The survey link will be active on September 11 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on September 18.  Please access this survey by clicking on the following link:

In a few weeks, you will receive a second survey, Catholic Identity: Program Effectiveness which will ask parents/guardians to respond to the quality of the Catholic education found in our schools.

Please participate in both of these surveys. They serve as a voice for parents/guardians within our school communities. The results of the surveys, although anonymous, enable our schools and the Office of Catholic Schools to respond to your needs, make improvements where necessary, and establish goals for the future.

I thank you in advance for your participation in these important survey instruments. Through your participation, we will be able to develop a strong profile of our schools that will allow our schools to continue on the journey of continuous improvement.
