Our endowed scholarships are awarded annually. The accrued interest from the principal in the endowment fund provides the tuition assistance.
Monica Anne Averhoff Rules of Life Scholarship was established in 2003 in memory of Monica by her family. This scholarship is awarded to the student who truly lives by Monica’s “Rules of Life” written shortly before her death. The scholarship is awarded to a current sixth grade student.
Saint Marguerite d’Youville Scholarship was established in 2011 in memory of the deceased members of the Guidice and Totino families. St. Marguerite d’Youville was the founder of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, the order that established St. John Neumann Regional Catholic School in 1986. This scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has financial need and whose family is committed to Catholic education.
Sister Dawn Gear and Sister Rita Raffaele Scholarship was established in 1996 by friends and families of the St. John Neumann School Community. Established to honor the first principal and assistant principal of St. John Neumann School, the scholarship is awarded to one girl and one boy who work to their potential, exemplify the Gospel values, and strive to achieve their goals.
Parker Kane Scholarship was established in December of 2003. This scholarship, in memory of Parker, was established by the St. John Neumann Home & School Association. This scholarship is awarded to a third grade student who, like Parker, demonstrates Christian values, courage, perseverance, and a passion for life and athletics.
Reverend Jeremiah McGinley Scholarship was established in 2003 by Dan and Joanne Cotter in honor of Reverend Jeremiah McGinley, O.F.M., a dedicated Franciscan priest for more than 50 years. This scholarship is awarded to a student who lives by the values exemplified by St. Francis of Assisi: kindness, gentleness, and devotion to Jesus Christ.
Saint John Neumann Scholarship was established by friends and families of Saint John Neumann School in June 2002. This scholarship is awarded to a student who has served for at least one year as an Altar Server, shows devotion to live as St. John Neumann did, and actively volunteers on school service projects.
Father Paul Reynolds Scholarship was established in 1989 in honor of Father Paul Reynolds, a former pastor of St. John Neumann Church. This scholarship was established to be given to a student who shows effort and works to his or her abilities, displays Christian values, and whose parent(s) also show an active interest and involvement in the St. John Neumann School community.
James G. Ruspino and Clara M. Ruspino Scholarship was established in 2007 by Mrs. Ruspino in memory of her husband and renamed upon the passing of Mrs. Ruspino. Mr. and Mrs. Ruspino valued education and were dedicated supporters of both public and Catholic education. This scholarship is awarded annually to a student who belongs to St. John Neumann parish, is a sibling of SJNRCS alumni, and who demonstrates financial need.
Lauren Zauche Memorial Scholarship was established in May of 2005 by her family. Lauren was a 1997 alumni of SJNRCS. This scholarship is awarded to a seventh or eighth grader who works to the best of their ability, demonstrates a strong faith, shows genuine friendship and kindness to all students, and enjoys working with and being around the younger students.
