Extended Day Program

The Extended Day Program (EDP) is an after-school enrichment program for current students in grades Kindergarten through Eighth grade. The program is licensed by the Georgia Bright from the Start regulatory body and supervised by the Archdiocesan Department of Early Childcare and Learning. We provide trained adult supervision, homework assistance, outdoor play, arts and crafts, board games, organized activities, free play, and a light snack daily. No transportation is provided and the program does not take field trips.

The EDP is available from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all full days when SJNRCS is in session, August through May. On Wednesdays, the EDP will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m. The Extended Day Program will also be available on the two Parent Teacher Conference days in October from noon until 6 p.m.

All families are asked to complete the Extended Day Program forms even if they do not plan on using the program. For after-school emergencies, faculty and staff are not always available to supervise students.  These students are not allowed to go to EDP without the completed paperwork. Families will not be billed the EDP Registration Fee unless the student actually uses the after-school program. Please read the EDP Family Handbook for the complete details on fees, schedules, and rules of the Extended Day Program.

If your family will be using the Extended Day Program, please complete and send in the set of forms with the registration fee to the EDP Director by August 2, 2010.
